Crisis Support

If a child is in crisis, act immediately.

BloomBridge is a support tool, not an emergency service. If a student is in immediate danger — to themselves or others — contact emergency services or a qualified mental health professional right now.

Built-In Safety

How BloomBridge handles emergencies.

BloomBridge has a built-in emergency protocol that operates outside the normal structured plan flow.

1

Detection

When an observation includes indicators of self-harm, aggression, or severe distress, BloomBridge’s system automatically flags it.

2

Immediate Alert

The app triggers an instant alert to the school principal and designated emergency contacts, bypassing the normal plan generation flow.

3

Professional Referral

The app provides guidance on contacting qualified mental health professionals and emergency services.

Step-by-Step Guide

If a student is in crisis — follow these steps.

1

Ensure immediate safety

If there’s physical danger, remove the student and others from harm. Call 112 if needed.

2

Do not leave the student alone

Stay with them until a qualified professional or guardian arrives.

3

Notify school leadership

Inform the principal or designated emergency contact immediately.

4

Contact parents/guardians

Use BloomBridge’s emergency alert or call directly.

5

Refer to professional help

Guide the family to contact a qualified mental health professional or child psychologist.

Important disclaimer.

BloomBridge is a structured support tool for teachers and school management. It does NOT: diagnose mental illness, replace professional psychological care, provide medical advice, treat severe psychiatric disorders, or serve as an emergency response system.

In a life-threatening situation, always contact emergency services (112 in India) immediately. Do not wait for an app alert.
